Freedom to Choose

l'm a free-spirited & fun-loving guy who's curious about the philosophies of life.

l love indulging in food, especially a hearty breakfast that includes eggs, toast, pancakes, muffins, etc. This explains the blog title cos eggs & toast make the perfect combo! haha....

Eggs are nutritious and can be cooked any way we choose. Just like a metaphor for life, we can choose to be loving or resentful, happy or sad, hopeful or despondent, helpful or indifferent, etc.

l believe in financial literacy and feels that achieving financial freedom is a conscious choice. As mentioned by the Rich Dad Poor Dad author...

“An asset puts money in your pocket, whereas a liability takes money out of it. An important distinction is that rich people buy luxuries last, while the poor and middle class tend to buy luxuries first.

The poor and the middle class often buy luxury items such as big houses, diamonds, furs, jewelry or boats because they want to look rich. They look rich, but in reality they just get deeper in debt on credit."

We can choose to work hard for our money or let money work hard for you. We must also learn to diversify and never put all our eggs in one basket. For me, l choose to invest wisely, build my nest egg and achieve financial freedom while l'm still young. Even Buddha said ...'He or She Builds Wealth Patiently Bit by Bit, Like the Way Bees Gather Honey'...

I also like this other Buddhist Teaching...

"Impermanence and change are the undeniable truths of our existence. It is by becoming aware of it, by observing it and by understanding it, one can find a suitable remedy for the sorrow of human life and achieve liberation."

Materialism & beauty are like the passing wind and will not last. We can choose our own destinies, to seek the true meaning of our transient lives and be good to others along the way.

Together with my friends, we're on a quest to discover the best life has to offer...

Let's Make a Toast to Life !
