Qing Ming
Qing Ming is a time we pay respect to our Ancestors and we make it a point to meet up annually for this event.
Its a most tiring affair, starting with the buying of offerings & food in the morning, followed by a 'mini amazing race' round the island from a temple in the North, to the CCK cemetery in the West, to a Church in the South, and finally ending off with dinner at a Tze char stall in the East (at the edge of Changi Village).
l was too tired to take note of the stall name and was too busy eating to take any pics. But the food was good and affordable. We had cereal prawns, chilli crabs, onion beef, pork ribs, yam basket, etc and the bill was less than $200 for a table of 10.
Wonder if the younger generation will still continue this tradition cos its a meaningful reminder of our ancestral roots and the fragility of life.
